Located in Vasant Kunj, Monkey Bar is one of those places where you just go, hang out and basically, chill after a long day!
When you go to Monkey Bar, you’ll find yourself inside a glass pyramid. It has three areas for seating, one of which has a pool table and a foosball table. The staff is nice and will give you a hand with the game if you have no one else to play with.
The menu has wide variety of dishes and what’s best is, it’s cheap! The food was made beautifully, it was packed with flavour and out of the four dishes that were ordered for the table, I had no complaints with any. There is a separate menu for drinks which has quite a few cocktails and if you’re not an alcohol-drinker, they will happily remove the alcohol from the drink to make your mocktail.

We had the Tempura Calamari which was crispy and juicy at the same time and was drizzled with wasabi mayo which only added to the flavour. Next we had the Tiger Steak, which is a must-try if you are fond of chilli. It was spiced tenderloin slices in a spicy sauce made with chilli, galangal, lemon and bok choy. The Mobar Burger came with a 300 gram patty which was well-done and was extremely succulent and tender. Our last main dish was the Mobar Caramelised Ribs. It was cooked so well that the meat was tender enough to melt in your mouth.

We finished the meal off with the Chocolate Pot de Creme with Salted Caramel which was a combination of caramel popcorn with chocolate sauce and two slices of lemon poppy cake drizzled with a little bit of olive oil. It turned out to be a brilliant combination and was the perfect end to the meal.

Even though there are three seating areas, the servers give you ample attention and you won’t have to wait too long for them to take your order or for your food to reach you. You should choose your timing to go here because it’s quite full during evenings and on weekends. The place is decorated with posters, mainly movie posters. It is a nice seating and has a very young feel to it. It is spacious and even though it is mostly full, it doesn’t seem all that cramped.
All in all, it’s a fun place and one should go with a group of friends. It won’t be too heavy on your pockets and it promises to give you great food and alcohol.
